WASHINGTON 鈥� Police in Atlanta announced they have arrested in a teenager for the robbery and shooting of a D.C. restaurant manager who was in town for a wedding.
Christian Broder, the general manager of Millie’s on Massachusetts Avenue in Northwest, was shot outside a country club where he and three other people were waiting for an Uber after a wedding they attended on the night of July 8.
Atlanta police said at a news conference on Friday that 17-year-old Jayden Myrick was the shooter in the case.
He has been arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault, one count of aggravated battery and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
“Ultimately at this point we have been able to make one arrest in this case, we believe we have the shooter in custody,” Sgt. John Chaffee with the Atlanta Police Department told reporters at a news conference on Friday.
“We’re very pleased at the work that went into this and having him off the street.”
Atlanta police said that Broder and his party walked toward a car that arrived at the country club, assuming it was their ride. But a man got out of the passenger’s side and robbed them at gunpoint taking a cellphone, a purse, wallets and cash.
Police said the car used in the robbery was stolen a few days earlier and investigators are still working to identify the driver of the car.

The campaign said he is still in intensive care in Atlanta.
