WASHINGTON — Passengers on MARC’s Camden Line faced delays Wednesday morning after all trains between Baltimore and D.C. were suspended after a man was struck and killed by a freight train.
MARC restored limited service on trains 844, 846 and 851 around 10 a.m., though they were running 15 to 30 minutes behind schedule.
Maryland Transit Authority officials said a CSX freight train struck and killed a pedestrian near Riverdale. Prince George’s County police said they responded to a report of man struck by a train at about 7 a.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Detectives do not suspect foul play, according to their preliminary investigation, .
Officials urged passengers to use Metro or equivalent Penn Line stations, adding that Camden Line tickets will be honored on either train.
