Hanna Choi started off on the broadcast journalism track, gradually transitioning into digital media.
She graduated from Boston University in two-and-a-half years with a B.A. in Journalism, and decided to spend the next two years in South Korea teaching English and learning more about the culture.
She landed a job as a segment host on TBS EFM, South Korea鈥檚 leading English-language broadcast station. After hosting 鈥淔olklores in Korea鈥� and 鈥淪eoulmate,鈥� she was hired as the main writer of 鈥淲eekly Review.鈥�
Hanna returned to the U.S. in 2014 to pursue a Master of Public Administration degree at Cornell University. She thought policy studies and journalism would pair well together.
But she couldn鈥檛 quench her fascination with the topics of race, identity and culture, so she jumped at the chance to intern for NPR鈥檚 鈥淐ode Switch鈥� 鈥� a beat on just that 鈥� during her last semester of graduate school.
Shortly after graduating, Hanna moved to D.C. to join the 海角精品黑料 team as a weekend Digital Editor. Though she鈥檚 a California girl at heart, D.C. is starting to win her over.
When Hanna isn鈥檛 manning the desk during her early morning shift, she is (probably) nose-deep in a book, out to brunch or exploring the city.
