Washington, D.C. (May 13, 2020) 鈥 海角精品黑料 News reporter Jenny Glick has won a Gracie Award for her 2019 series, 鈥Starving for Perfection.鈥
The audio and web series produced by Glick brought to light the emotional and raw reality of eating disorders, their impact and the road to recovery.
鈥淛enny鈥檚 series dove beneath the surface to uncover all angles of this issue from its impact on victims and their families, to the physicians who treat them and more,鈥 said Julia Ziegler, Director of News and Programming for 海角精品黑料 News. 鈥淎nd she did so with an element of humanity that I think made this story real to those who have encountered it and also those who have not.鈥
The Gracie Awards are given out each year by the Alliance for Women in Media and recognize 鈥渆xemplary programming created by women, for women and about women in all facets of media and entertainment. They also acknowledge the individuals who have made inspirational contributions to the industry.鈥
鈥淚 feel honored to receive this award and grateful 海角精品黑料 gave me the time and space to share the voices of this incredibly debilitating disorder,鈥 said Glick. 鈥淚 hope the series shared a greater understanding of a disease that is continuing to tear apart the lives of young girls and women.鈥
The Gracies are named after Gracie Allen, a media pioneer who embodied the character of the awards.
The Alliance for Women in Media is an organization committed to supporting women across all media segments, to expand networks, educate and celebrate accomplishments.
