With the 16th overall pick in the NFL Draft, the Washington Commanders selected Mississippi State cornerback Emmanuel Forbes.
Forbes is a defensive back known for his ball-hawking ability, tallying 14 interceptions in his three-year career at Mississippi State. He took six of those interceptions back for touchdowns, an all-time FBS record.

Last year, Washington used its first round selection on Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson, who made 35 catches for 523 yards and seven touchdowns. He missed five games with injury.
