Jollibee, which claims to be the 鈥渓argest and fastest growing Asian restaurant company in the world,鈥 has selected Wheaton for its first Greater Washington outpost.
The Filipino chain, now with 1,300 outlets across the globe and at least 37 in the United States, will replace a shuttered Baja Fresh on the Westfield Wheaton property. According to plans obtained from Construction Journal, renovation work on the nearly 3,500-square-foot space is expected to get underway in September, with delivery as soon as December.
Camburas & Theodore Ltd. of Des Plaines, Illinois, is the listed architect and Oviedo, Florida-based CW Haynes Construction Co. is the general contractor.
