Virginia voters explain their top issues this election

海角精品黑料 spoke to voters in Virginia about their most pressing concerns this election. Among them, abortion is a top issue.

鈥淔or me, personally, I think a big thing is female rights. Protecting my rights as a woman is probably my number one (issue),鈥 said Hannah Ball, from Arlington. 鈥淗aving access to health care and making sure everybody is safe is a really big thing.鈥

Brittany Cash, from Falls Church, said she wants the government to stand aside and let the states decide.

鈥淚 am definitely pro-life,鈥 she said. “Being able to speak what we really want for our families and for the future is really important.鈥

For Trevor Smith, of Arlington, the most important issue is inflation: 鈥淭he price of groceries has been going up a lot lately, and it has become difficult to afford.鈥

John Chen, from Arlington, said the economy is usually his key concern, but this year, he鈥檚 focused on a peaceful transfer of power.

鈥淢ainly, right now, I would say stability,鈥 he said. 鈥淢aybe someone who鈥檚 not trying to overturn elections.鈥

The most important issue for Trina, of Woodbridge, is Social Security and not making cuts to the program.

鈥淲here is that money going to?鈥 she said. 鈥淚f it鈥檚 lining other people鈥檚 pockets, that鈥檚 not (going to) work for me. Because now my hard-earned money is going to someone who doesn鈥檛 deserve it.鈥

Carmelita Johnson, from Alexandria, said she wants a president who will keep campaign promises.

鈥淭hat the person is for the people,鈥 she said. 鈥淎nd to listen to the people and to follow up and do what you say you鈥檙e going to do. Don鈥檛 just say something and don鈥檛 do it. Follow up.鈥
