WASHINGTON — The final and sixth season of the hit British drama “Downton Abbey” premieres Sunday night on PBS.
In a promo clip of the season,聽Hugh Bonneville, who plays Robert Crawley in the series, tells Downton Abbey’s butler聽Mr. Carson, 鈥淚f I could stop history in its tracks, maybe I would. But I can鈥檛, Carson, for neither you nor I can hold back time.鈥�

PBS聽will air a marathon of the season a week before the finale聽and a behind-the-scenes special聽detailing how the show was made.
The series聽finale is set for the first week of March, the network聽announced.
