WASHINGTON 鈥� Enjoy Jon Stewart on 鈥淭he Daily Show鈥� while you can 鈥� the comedian has announced the date he鈥檒l leave the Comedy Central program he鈥檚 hosted for 17 years.
At the end of Monday鈥檚 show, Stewart announced that his last show will be Aug. 6. He didn’t provide any details of what the finale would include, but cracked, 鈥淚 will be wearing a suit; I will more than likely be showered.”
He also announced , with tickets available for a donation to his favorite charities 鈥� New York Collaborates for Autism and Night of Too Many Stars, the annual variety show he hosts to benefit autism charities.
Comedy Central has already said that South African comic Trevor Noah will take over 鈥淭he Daily Show鈥� upon Stewart鈥檚 departure; the date of his first show hasn鈥檛 been announced.
