WASHINGTON– The streets of D.C. will be filled with the sound of joyful, jingling bells as the 聽begins Sunday morning.
However, if you鈥檙e driving in and around the District, those bells might not make you feel as jolly. Here鈥檚 a list of affected streets and when they鈥檒l be closing, according to the Metropolitan Police Department and the District Department of Transportation.
Approx. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dec. 6, 2015
– Area around Freedom Plaza, Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 13th and 14th Streets, NW
– Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 14th and First Streets, NW
– 3rd Street, NW from Pennsylvania Ave, NW to D Street, SW
– Independence Avenue SE, from 7th to 3rd Streets, SW
DDOT warns that motorists may experience delays, and should consider alternate routes.
