WASHINGTON 鈥斅燣ooking for love in your 30s can cost a little more with a new version of a popular dating app.
Tinder Plus, a premium version of Tinder鈥檚 mobile app, launched Monday, , and offers new features such as unlimited 鈥渓ikes,鈥� undo options and worldwide searches. The premium version, however, will cost users who are older than 30 more than those who are younger than 30.
In the U.S., Tinder Plus costs $9.99 a month for those who are younger than 30. Those in the over-30 club will pay $19.99, according to .
鈥淟ots of products offer differentiated price tiers by age, like Spotify聽does for students, for example,鈥� a Tinder spokesman said to Quartz in a statement.
鈥淭inder is no different; during our testing we鈥檝e learned, not surprisingly, that younger users are just as excited about TinderPlus, but are more budget聽constrained, and need a lower price to pull the trigger.鈥�
Tinder, which connects people based on their locations and profiles, will still offer a free basic version.
