NASA rocket launch from Va. dashed once more

WASHINGTON 鈥 If you were looking forward to Tuesday’s rocket launch, then you’ll have to wait again.

The launch was canceled just after 9 p.m. at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia due to cloudy conditions.

NASA also had to reschedule the rocket launch Monday because of cloudy skies.

NASA announced Sunday that of the 鈥淭errier-improved Malemute sounding rocket鈥 from Wallops Island, scheduled for Sunday night, was postponed due to there having been some boats in the hazard area.

Between four and 5 陆 minutes after launch, the rocket will release red and blue-green vapor, in order to form colored clouds that will 鈥渁llow scientists on the ground to visually track particle motions in space,鈥 .

They added that the clouds may be visible on the coast between New York and North Carolina, and maybe as far west as Charlottesville, Virginia, NASA said.
