WASHINGTON — Ford Motor Company announced Thursday it will recall 433,000 North American聽vehicles because of聽an issue with the body control module.
The defect causes the engine to keep running even after the key is removed from the ignition. Ford issued the recall in an attempt to prevent聽theft and cars from rolling away.
The recall affects certain聽2015 Focus,聽C-MAX and Escape vehicles.
The motor company is not aware of any injuries or accidents caused by the issue, Ford says in a .
