Search continues for stolen puppies in Manassas

WASHINGTON 鈥擳here has been no sign of the six puppies stolen聽 on New Year鈥檚 Day.

Police are asking for the public’s help.

“We acknowledge that these puppies may not be in the city of Manassas anymore,鈥 said Manassas City Police Spokeswoman Adrienne Helms. 鈥淭hey could be anywhere in the area.”

“So, we’re really asking citizens to report any kind of suspicious activity or sightings,” Helms said.

The owner of DC Pups in Manassas told 海角精品黑料 on Tuesday that he was concerned about the health of the dogs, since they were only several weeks old and were on聽a very strict diet.

The puppies include two Maltese, one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, two Maltipoos and one Cavachon. Helms said whoever took the dogs could also be charged with grand larceny because the pups were so valuable.

“The dogs, in all, are valued at just under $6,000, but we’re also concerned about the welfare of the animals and hope to get them back safely,” Helms said.

Police are聽offering 聽a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information on the burglars or the location of the puppies has been asked to call 703-257-8000.
