Jacobs, 85, is not an employee of the office but helps organize and schedule evictions 鈥� one of the sheriff鈥檚 primary responsibilities. She also has what she called a听security detail made up of sheriff鈥檚 deputies, she said during a recent interview with The Banner.
The evictions typically happen twice per month听and have been dubbed 鈥淓lsie Jacobs days鈥� by sheriff鈥檚 deputies. In exchange for her eviction services, Jacobs said, she charges landlords a fee.
