WASHINGTON — Reports of a suspicious person prompted a lockdown at聽Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Air Force Base on聽Sunday afternoon.
The base announced that it had resumed normal operations at around 2:25 p.m., and that an “all clear” was given without incident.
D.C. police said law enforcement has聽cleared the scene, and that nothing suspicious was found.

A base spokeswoman said the lockdown began at at around 1:30 p.m. 聽Officials said in a tweet that police on base received reports of a suspicious, potentially armed person in a barracks. No shots were fired. The base is located in聽Southeast, near the D.C.-Prince George’s County, Maryland border.
