WASHINGTON 鈥斅 Six Flags America was evacuated Saturday afternoon聽due to聽a bomb threat, according to police.
Prince George鈥檚 County police said someone called in the threat at around 1:30 p.m.
鈥淥ut of an abundance of caution, authorities have asked us to clear the park. The safety of our guests and employees is always our highest priority,鈥 Debbie Evans, a spokeswoman for the park, said in an emailed statement.
At around 4:30 p.m., police said they had completed a security sweep and and said nothing suspicious was found at the park.
The park, which is which is located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was closed early due to the threat.
A park attendee, who did not want to be named, told 海角精品黑料 that guests were first told to head to the front gate because the park was聽temporarily closing due to an 鈥渆vent.鈥 The attendee said guests were later told the park was closed due to a bomb threat and were given passes to return on another day.
Evans said the park聽is expected to聽open Sunday, as planned.
