UPPER MARLBORO, Md. 鈥斅燗 Prince George鈥檚 County schools task force that was called on to come up with ways to protect children from sexual abuse and other dangers will release its findings Tuesday.
The Student Safety Task Force was created after school aide Deonte Carraway was accused of sexually abusing children inside the school where he worked.
Carraway, 22, a staff member at Sylvania Woods Elementary School in Glenarden, was also accused of generating pornographic images and . He was arrested in February and . Carraway is accused of abusing 19 children.
The work of the task force was criticized by some residents because, while community input was sought online, the meetings of the body, led by Dr. Charlene Dukes, president of Prince George鈥檚 County Community College, were not open to the public. A PGCPS statement on the task force says the public response to survey requests was 鈥渢remendous.”
