WASHINGTON — One聽man was killed in a double shooting in Chillum, Maryland early Sunday.
Police in Prince George’s County say the shooting happened in the 6800 block of Riggs Road at around 3 a.m., where the two men were found wounded.
They聽were taken to the hospital, but聽one of the men died from his injuries. Police聽identified the victim on Monday as 25-year-old聽Gamaliel Nerio Rico, of Bladensburg.
The other shooting victim is in critical condition.
Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act.聽Detectives are working to identify a motive and suspect, or suspects, in this case.
The investigation is ongoing.
