WASHINGTON — The Nationals have traded lefty pitcher Gio Gonzalez to the Milwaukee Brewers, according to multiple reports.
Gonzalez has played seven of his 11 major league seasons in Washington, tallying a 3.62 ERA and 86-65 record in 213 starts. This season, he has a 4.57 ERA and 7-11 record in 27 starts.

Gonzalez, a two-time All-Star, is the fifth player the Nats have traded in the final year of his contract. Ryan Madson was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier Friday, joining Daniel Murphy, Matt Adams and Shawn Kelley as players dealt during the Nationals’ disappointing season.
There is no word yet on what the Nationals received in return.
