Survey: Employees don’t feel creative in the workplace

WASHINGTON — A national survey shows Americans want to be more creative in their jobs even if that means taking a pay cut.

According to , 27聽percent of employees would tell their bosses they’d quit if offered a position that let their creative juices flow.

The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority commissioned the survey, which shows a growing 鈥渃reativity gap鈥 in the workplace. 聽Seventy-three percent of U.S. workers believe they are creative people, but only 42 percent think their current jobs allow them to be creative.

Researchers also found that nearly a third of us would move so we could be in a more creative community.
