WASHINGTON– They watched their home and everything they owned go up in flames. Now a month later, a local grandmother has a desperate plea for help — to get her family back together.
“Twenty-one years of memories, three generations lived here,we lost everything, everything,” said Robin Lara, whose mobile home burned down in Woodbridge, Va., on July 28.
Lara’s brother, daughter and three young grandchildren were inside the home when the fire started. After 11-year-old Caden smelled the smoke, he tried to put out the fire with a hose himself, but it was too hot. “My immediate thought was to go inside, get everybody out,” he told 海角精品黑料.
The Red Cross and local churches have paid for hotel rooms for the family, until now. But the family had to split up Saturday among other people’s homes. They are trying to raise money for a new mobile home so they can stay together.
