Wizards acquire a point guard in a three-team trade

WASHINGTON — The Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers completed a three-team trade Thursday before the trade deadline º£½Ç¾«Æ·ºÚÁÏ confirms.

The Wizards acquired point guard Andre Miller from Denver while sending Jan Vesely to the Nuggets and point guard Eric Maynor to the 76ers, along with two second- round draft picks.

Miller, 37, has not played since Dec. 30 due to an altercation with Nuggets head coach Brian Shaw. Miller will provide veteran leadership and be a quality backup to John Wall.

Vesely, 23, was drafted by the Wizards with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2011 draft and is averaging 3.2 points and 3.4 rebounds a game this year.

Maynor, 26, was signed by the Wizards last summer but the 2009 first-round pick has not much of an impact this season. He is only averaging 2.3 points and 1.7 assists in 23 games this season.

Washington, after a win Wednesday night, is 26-28 and currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
