WASHINGTON – The body of an 83-year-old woman who went missing after getting off a plane at Reagan National Airport has been found in Arlington, police say.
Victoria Kong was last seen at the airport Friday at 6:30 p.m. She was walking north along the Mount Vernon trail that heads toward Gravelly Point.
Her body was found Monday afternoon about 30 feet from the trail in a wooded area, U.S. Park Police say.
Officials also found her purse. They do not suspect foul play, police say.
Kong’s granddaughter told Kong was showing early signs of dementia, and that she was supposed to be escorted off the plane by wheelchair.
