WASHINGTON – Chuck Brown may have been , but celebrations for the “Godfather of Go-Go” continue.
Take one part Brown’s go-go and add one part New Orleans, and the genre “Go-Go Brass Funk” takes off.
The “,” one of this genre’s signature bands, will perform at D.C.’s on Friday and Saturday in what’s being called a New Orleans-style tribute to Chuck Brown.
It’s part of the running through June 10.
