WASHINGTON – The first homicide of the year in Fairfax County took place Sunday.
A man walked into a police pre-release center the afternoon of Jan. 15 to report a woman was dead in the 5900 block of Gunther Court in the Centreville area, according to Fairfax County Police.
When officers arrived, they found the woman in the home with trauma to her upper body.
She has been identified as 22-year-old Ryah Leslie. Her room mate, Benjamin Walker, has been charged with her murder.
