RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. (AP) 鈥� Authorities on Sunday arrested a man who was walking the grounds and appeared to be monitoring security planning at President Donald Trump鈥檚 California golf course two days ahead of the president鈥檚 visit.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff鈥檚 Department said the man was taking photos and video and had a 16-round magazine with ammunition in his pocket. They recovered a loaded pistol in his car.
The sheriff鈥檚 department announced the arrest Tuesday as Trump was preparing to arrive for a fundraising dinner at his golf club outside of Los Angeles.
The 38-year-old man was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm and possessing prohibited ammunition.
Law enforcement searched his home Monday and found a plethora of firearms, magazines and ammunition, body armor, and notebooks with 鈥渃oncerning statements.鈥�
The sheriff鈥檚 department said there is 鈥渘o credible threat to our communities.鈥�
