WASHINGTON聽鈥� Hogwarts聽fans: The first trailer for J.K. Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is out.
The film, a Harry Potter聽prequel, looks into the American wizarding community in 1920s New York.
It’s Rowling’s first screenplay, and聽the film is directed by David Yates, who directed the last four Potter films.
The name of the movie is聽a reference to a Hogwarts textbook.
The story is about Newt Scamander, a 鈥渕agizoologist,鈥� who makes his way around the Big Apple in 1926.

Eddie Redmayne stars as聽Scamander. The cast includes Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler and Colin Farrell.
