WASHINGTON — Police say the death of in the woods of Montgomery Village is being considered a homicide.
Shortly before 1 p.m., a passer-by called 911 to report a possibly injured person in the wooded area behind the 18200 block of Contour Road. There, officers found Roberto Gutierrez Cruz, 22, of the 18400 block of Lost Knife Road in Montgomery Village.
Cruz died of a gunshot wound, according to the medical examiner鈥檚 office. Montgomery County Police think the shooting occurred two days before Cruz was found.
