WASHINGTON 鈥� With Metro no longer opening early for any reason, the Marine Corps Marathon is set to make a 鈥渟ignificant announcement鈥� later this week.
Marathon organizers say Metro鈥檚 track work will lead to 鈥渁n alteration for MCM events this year,鈥� since Metro has traditionally been the way most runners and fans get to the race.
The Marathon plans to unveil 鈥渋ts 2016 courses, new event timeline and robust transportation plan for the thousands of runners鈥� on Wednesday.
The marathon is Sunday, Oct. 30.
