Part of Dulles Airport’s main terminal reopens after investigation

WASHINGTON 鈥斅燩art of Dulles International Airport鈥檚 main terminal has reopened after an investigation into an unattended item.

The airport鈥檚 main terminal arrivals and departures level closed at about 5 p.m. for investigation of the item discovered by a canine.聽The all clear was given and the public was allowed back in the area at about 6:45 p.m.

Several airline ticket check-in counters and baggage claim carousels were affected.聽Affected ticket counters included: United, Lufthansa, Avianca, Austrian, Jetblue, Alaska and Porter. Consider using online check-in prior to airport arrival, if practical.
