Storms push through region, topple trees

WASHINGTON 鈥擜 line of severe thunderstorms blew through the D.C. area Monday afternoon, toppling trees, dumping rain and causing power outages.

A line of severe thunderstorms moved west to east Monday afternoon. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch once in effect for the entire 海角精品黑料 listening area is in effect for southern Maryland and the northern neck of Virginia until 8 p.m.. A Flash Flood Watch once in effect for the region has been canceled.

Temperatures will fall from the upper 80s into the upper 70s after the storms, said Storm Team4 Meteorolgist Matt Ritter. Overnight will bring patchy fog and humidity will clear out, Ritter said.
