WASHINGTON 鈥� A 42-year-old Laurel, Maryland, man drove through a fence at BWI Marshall Airport Saturday, and now police confirm a man made it onto an unoccupied aircraft, leaving a backpack there before police arrived.
The backpack contained papers and personal items, according to Lt. Kevin Ayd with the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, but Ayd told that 鈥渘othing alarming鈥� was found.
It鈥檚 not clear what type of aircraft the man was able to board, but Ayd was quoted as saying it was a 鈥渟maller aircraft鈥澛燼t 聽Pier D near the terminal.
Police said the man was taken to a local hospital for evaluation,聽The Sun reported.
As of Monday afternoon, no charges related to the incident had been filed.
