Man evaluated after driving through BWI Marshall fence, boarding plane

WASHINGTON 鈥 A 42-year-old Laurel, Maryland, man drove through a fence at BWI Marshall Airport Saturday, and now police confirm a man made it onto an unoccupied aircraft, leaving a backpack there before police arrived.

The backpack contained papers and personal items, according to Lt. Kevin Ayd with the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, but Ayd told that 鈥渘othing alarming鈥 was found.

It鈥檚 not clear what type of aircraft the man was able to board, but Ayd was quoted as saying it was a 鈥渟maller aircraft鈥澛燼t 聽Pier D near the terminal.

Police said the man was taken to a local hospital for evaluation,聽The Sun reported.

As of Monday afternoon, no charges related to the incident had been filed.
