WASHINGTON 鈥斅燩olice arrested a man on Wednesday for his role in a murder in a Howard County apartment earlier this week.
Howard County police found 62-year-old Martin Edward Mullineaux in Columbia, Maryland, during a welfare check. Mullineaux had not been seen in two days.
Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested one of Mullineaux鈥檚 acquaintance who police said became a person of interest in the case. Police said they aren鈥檛 releasing the identity of the suspect until charges are filed. The man聽was arrested in the聽500 block of N. Crain Highway in Glen Burnie.
Police said it appears Mullineaux died 鈥渁s a result of traumatic injuries,鈥 and said in a Wednesday news release that there were no signs of forced entry at his residence. Police have not released any additional details about his injuries.
Mullineaux was the only person listed on the apartment鈥檚 lease, according to police.
The cause and time of death will be confirmed in an autopsy.
