More than 150 cars spray-painted in Columbia

WASHINGTON 鈥 Police in Howard County are looking for whoever spray-painted more than 150 cars over the last month.

Some of the vandalism includes the words 鈥淛ack Boys,鈥 the letters 鈥淗S鈥 and other random markings, according to a news release from police.

An unknown suspect or suspects spray-painted multiple vehicles parked in the 7500 block of Monarch Mills Way in Columbia overnight on Dec. 15. Police said since then, six other similar incidents were reported.

The additional acts of vandalism happened in the following locations:

  • Dec. 20 in the 9600 block of Whiteacre Rd./5800 block of Thunder Hill Rd.
  • Dec. 21 in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Rd.
  • Dec. 27 in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Rd.
  • Dec. 31 in the 5500 block of Waterloo Rd.
  • Dec. 31 in the 8300 block of Tamar Dr.
  • Jan. 14 in the 7500 block of Murray Hill Rd.

Police say they聽do not think the vandalism is gang-related or a hate crime. No suspect descriptions were available.

Anyone who has information about the spray-painting incidents is asked to call 410-313-STOP. Police are offering a reward of up to $750 for information.
