WASHINGTON 鈥 There鈥檚 a little less to choose from at your nearby McDonald鈥檚.
The fast-food icon cut seven sandwiches from its menu, , in the face of a long decline in revenues.
The items that have left聽the palette of choices are the Deluxe Quarter Pounder, six chicken sandwiches and the honey-mustard and chipotle-barbecue snack wraps.
A company spokeswoman tells Bloomberg that it was a 鈥渞olling removal,鈥 meaning that the items are聽disappearing from the offerings when each store runs out.
McDonald鈥檚 has seen its same-store sales drop for six straight quarters, Bloomberg says, adding that the chain still has about 40 more menu items than it did in 2007, a move that Bloomberg says is a response to people鈥檚 desire for healthier food.
