Police in Fairfax County, Virginia, said an unidentified man was killed during a shooting on New Year’s Eve.
The shooting happened Saturday at around 7:30 p.m. in the 9500 block of Unity Lane in Lorton, after receiving reports that a man had been shot.
Officers said, in a preliminary statement, that a man was found inside and dead, with multiple gunshots to his upper body.
Officers are on the scene of a homicide investigation in the 9500 block of Unity Ln, Lorton. Preliminarily, officers found a man inside the address deceased from multiple gunshots to the upper body. Violent Crime and Crime Scene detectives are on their way to the scene.

During a press conference, a spokesperson for the department asked for the public’s help in identifying any suspects in the case.
