McAuliffe: Iomaxis’ $3.8 million expansion could create 555 jobs in Fairfax County

A Lorton-based technology engineering firm is embarking on a $3.8 million expansion that is expected to create 555 jobs in Fairfax County, according to a Thursday announcement from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe鈥檚 office.

The company was not able to provide additional information about the expansion, what kind of jobs would be created or the timeframe.

Iomaxis builds advanced cloud, mobile and network technologies for a mix of tech companies and federal agencies including the Pentagon, intelligence agencies, National Law Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security.

McAullife credited Iomaxis鈥 expanding footprint to Virginia鈥檚 “unparalleled business climate, skilled workforce pipeline鈥 and its “strategic access to the nation鈥檚 capital鈥 鈥 which represents the firm鈥檚 largest set of customers.

The initiative will be helped along by the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, a state-funded program out of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership that provides consulting鈥
