WASHINGTON 鈥� Two middle school boys聽are charged with sexual battery after they were聽accused of touching a girl聽on a school bus.
The incident is said to have happened after school on Nov. 16 as students loaded a waiting bus at Glasgow Middle School, in Lincolnia, Virginia.
鈥淭he victim was inside the bus and she was approached by two known students of the school and basically an assault occurred,鈥� said Officer Roger Henriquez, of the Fairfax County police, on Monday.聽The incident was first reported by the Washington Post.
The girl told investigators that the unwanted touching happened off and on for five minutes.
The school鈥檚 resource officer was notified about what happened the following day. After reviewing video from the bus, the two students were charged.
Henriquez says the girl was not physically hurt in the incident.
Fairfax County Public Schools provided a statement to 海角精品黑料, Tuesday:
The school was notified of the incident the day after it occurred and immediately began an investigation.聽 The parents of students on the bus who witnessed the incident were immediately notified and appropriate disciplinary action was taken against the students involved.聽 Student disciplinary proceedings are confidential, however as soon as the allegations were made, the students involved were removed – and remain removed – from all classes and also had their bus privileges revoked.
