WASHINGTON — It’s easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
On Wednesday morning, the trailer finally dropped for Steven Spielberg’s drama
The film marks the very first on-screen pairing of Oscar winners Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.
They respectively play Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and publisher Katharine Graham, who led the聽newspaper through the 1971 publication of The Pentagon Papers, exposing the聽United States’聽political and military involvement聽in聽Vietnam聽from 1945 to 1967.
The script is co-written by debut writer聽Liz Hannah and Oscar winner聽Josh Singer (“Spotlight”).
The film hits select theaters on Dec. 22 and nationwide Jan. 12.
