Introduction Six men have portrayed 007 in the EON series, but none of them were givens for the role. Ian Fleming at first thought that Sean Connery was completely wrong for the role,聽only to be proven wrong to such a point that Fleming added Scottish heritage to Bond鈥檚 character in the last novel he wrote.
