WASHINGTON — If you can’t get enough of “21 Jump Street,” you’re in luck.
reports that the franchise will continue with two new ventures.
One is a crossover with the “Men in Black” franchise, as Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum fight aliens.
The other is an all-female spinoff, similar to the recently announced all-female “Ghostbusters.”
Sony Pictures has reportedly hired 鈥淏road City鈥 writers Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs to pen聽one of two scripts.
The announcement means the franchise will be around for a while, something few could have predicted when聽the 聽2012 reboot of the ’80s TV series was first announced.
The first 鈥21 Jump Street鈥 movie grossed more than $200 million worldwide in 2012.
The sequel “22 Jump Street” (2014)聽grossed聽$331 million worldwide in 2014.
