One man was killed and another man was wounded in a shooting at a Northwest D.C. apartment Monday morning, police said. Another man was wounded in a stabbing that police believe is related to the shooting, a police spokeswoman said.
The shooting happened just after 6:30 a.m. Monday at an apartment on 16th Street Northwest near Irving Street, about a block away from the Columbia Heights Metro station.
The man who was killed was pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was taken to the hospital and was conscious and breathing at the time, said D.C. police spokeswoman Alaina Gertz.
The man who was stabbed was found on Mount Pleasant Street, around the corner from the apartment.
There’s no word yet on a suspect, and no arrests have been made.
