Man killed in Southeast DC shooting

WASHINGTON — A man is dead after a shooting in Southeast D.C. Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to the 3000 block of Stanton Road at around 1:50 p.m. and found 22-year-old Matthew Thomas, of Southeast D.C., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was was not breathing or conscious when he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
