WASHINGTON — A water main break in the District聽sent water gushing into the Monday morning sky.
The break happened underneath a brick sidewalk along聽P Street in Northwest聽 between 26th Street and Rock Creek Parkway.
D.C. Water聽 says the water has been turned off and that crews are on the scene repairing the six-inch main.
About聽40 homes, two businesses and an apartment building are without water.
Repairs could take up to eight hours as of 10:30 a.m.
