WASHINGTON — Many large companies were hit by data breaches in 2014, and on New Year鈥檚 Eve one more announced that it may have joined those ranks.
announced on their website that they 鈥渞eceived reports of potential unusual activity involving payment cards used at a few of our restaurants鈥� and are working with IT security companies and law enforcement to 鈥渄etermine all the facts.鈥�
The company added that customers will not be liable for any fraudulent charges 鈥� 鈥渁ny fraudulent charges will be the responsibility of either Chick-fil-A or the bank that issued the card. If our customers are impacted, we will arrange for free identity protection services, including credit monitoring.鈥�
