WASHINGTON 鈥斅燣ess than eight months after opening, the Redskins-themed sports bar and restaurant Hail & Hog Kitchen & Tap has filed for bankruptcy protection, according to .
Hail & Hog will stay open during its Chapter 11 reorganization. The bankruptcy filing is the result of unpaid contractor bills from the restaurant’s construction, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Hail & Hog made a splash when it opened its 12,000-square-foot, two-level restaurant with roof deck at One Loudoun Downtown District in May.
The restaurant is owned by Houston-based operator Great Grille Group, which runs restaurants in Columbus, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Houston, including sports-themed restaurants for the Colts and Texans.
Hail & Hog includes a radio and television studio for Redskins broadcasts, a second floor with wall-to-wall televisions, and rooftop bar and two restaurants.
The name pays homage to 鈥淗ail to the Redskins鈥� and 鈥淭he Hogs,鈥� the Redskins storied offensive line in the 1980s and 1990s.
One Loudoun is located at Va. 7 and the Loudoun County Parkway, three miles from Dulles International Airport.
